About Me

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Hello, I'm Beth!

My journey began at 18 years old when I first started university. I had a strong interest in the human mind and behaviour, which led me to choose Criminology & Psychology as my first degree. As I progressed, I pursued two postgraduate degrees in Developmental Psychology and Investigative Psychology. Along the way, I had the opportunity to present my postgraduate thesis in Developmental Psychology at the British Psychological Society conference in 2018, a moment of immense pride for me. My thesis' also gained recognition in publications.

Throughout my academic career, I felt a deep desire to support individuals struggling with mental health, particularly at the university level. I wanted to explore different ways to assist and guide them. I actively engaged with various client groups, including adults with severe Autism, homeless individuals, ex-offenders, and those receiving support from social services and mental health charities. These experiences provided me with invaluable insights into how people perceive the world and navigate their surroundings. One recurring theme I discovered was the prevalence of 'task anxiety' among individuals, leading to decreased productivity and compromised well-being. It became clear that these challenges hindered their ability to prioritize tasks aimed at improving their mental well-being. These realizations fueled my curiosity, prompting me to consider how I could empower individuals to unlock their potential, manage task anxiety, and cultivate greater productivity, ultimately enhancing their overall well-being.

Motivated by my passion to assist people in achieving success, I started mentoring as a second job and immediately fell in love with the enthusiasm and dedication exhibited by individuals seeking to reach their full potential. During this time, I developed tailored techniques to support my clients, adapting them to their unique circumstances. Witnessing their progress and witnessing the transformative impact of mentorship, I couldn't help but wonder why I hadn't embarked on this journey sooner.

Now, my primary focus is on continuing to support individuals who face mental health challenges during their university years. I firmly believe that everyone possesses the capacity to develop themselves into something extraordinary. Our Story

Since 2016, I've been working as a specialist mentor who supports others manage aspects of their daily living. Initially, I started out mentoring university students with identified mental health concerns and Autism. Over time, I developed techniques in line with the values of Motivational Interviewing to encourage my clients to implement a change within their lives which would benefit them in the long term, ultimately achieving their success. Implementing this new way of working allowed me to relate to my clients on a much deeper level, discussing issues which were more deep-rooted in presenting boundaries to their success. Working through these boundaries opened a whole new world of achievement for so many people.

The techniques I developed were so successful that friends and family began asking me for help with their own challenges. This motivated me to turn my newfound passion into a full-time career.

Personal development is an area I am focused on achieving, for myself and my clients. I believe you are capable of achieving anything you want as long as you have the right mindset. Supporting people to become a better version of themselves has become my life, and I enjoy every minute of it!
